The Canadian Cattlemen’s Association (CCA) has joined the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef.
A decision to join the roundtable was made as part of the CCA’s continued commitment to sustainable beef production.
According to CCA president Martin Unrau, the CCA is focussed on developing the right tools to make sure beef production is as environmentally efficient as possible as well as being socially and economically viable.
Unrau added that it was also an opportunity for the CCA to work with and contribute to Canadian research and expertise on improving global sustainable beef production and said it was something that should not be missed.
“The CCA recognises the numerous value propositions for becoming a Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef member, like engaging with leaders from across the value chain and participation in shaping the global dialogue on beef sustainability,” he said.
