The government in the Czech Republic is to release cereal reserves from state storage for cattle, pig and poultry farmers.
The decision was made following a series of bad weather, including extreme frosts and droughts, which reduced the amount of cereals the country farmed.
However, the government has also announced limitations on the amount of grain farmers are allowed to buy. Grain for ruminant livestock will be available for farmers to buy up to one tonne, while pig and poultry farmers will be allowed up to two tonnes.
