Belgian casing company De Winter Natuurdarmen is to be incorporated into the Dutch Van Hessen Group.

Although the two companies have worked with each other for 25 years, they have now decided to bundle their knowledge and experience together in order to “strengthen each other across the different links of the supply chain”.

It is hoped the collaboration within one group will enable Van Hessen Group and De Winter Natuurdarmen to meet the increasing demand for natural casings of a consistently high quality.

The companies' joining forces serve a long-term focus, aimed at continuity in their relationships with both customers and suppliers.

Elliot Simon, CEO of Van Hessen Group said: “De Winter Natuurdarmen is a wonderful and healthy company with a good reputation. Through our many years of working together, we have come to know each other through and through. Both companies strive for continuity, market leadership and product leadership in our industry. And that has made this joining of forces a very logical next step to take.”

André De Winter will continue to manage the daily operations at De Winter Natuurdarmen.

André De Winter said: “As a family business, we attach great value to the continuity of our company. We feel at home with Van Hessen Group with which we have had a very close relationship for at least 25 years. Together, we have a wealth of experience in processing, selecting and distributing natural casings. That’s a distinct added value to our customers and suppliers.”
