Kliklok Woodman recently delivered a third QSIL800 Quicksilver Shrinkwrapping machine to Goldstar Meats, one of Ireland's largest manufacturers of chilled and frozen meat-based convenience products.

According to Kliklok Woodman, a fourth machine is now on order.

Back in 2001, Goldstar ordered the first two Kliklok Quicksilver shrinkwrappers for its Dublin plant to service the needs of its rapidly growing chilled convenience food business, marketed under the Rustlers brand. The performance and efficiency of the equipment then led Kliklok to secure a third machine order in July 2002.

The stainless steel Kliklok equipment is wrapping eight different formats of collated & stacked rectangular trays containing meat-based convenience products packaged in a protective atmosphere, at speeds of up to 22 cases per minute using LPDE 50 micron film.

Kliklok says that its QS shrinkwrap machines include special features such as the film being mounted at low level, long life sealing jaws and fault diagnostics. As a result of the successful performance of all three machines, Kliklok said it had now received an order for a fourth machine, which is due for installation in March.

Goldstar is a manufacturer and supplier of predominantly branded chilled and frozen convenience foods. Rustlers is a chilled range of microwaveable hot snacks, and was designed specifically to cater for the huge growth in demand for high quality convenience snacks.

Since its launch in the UK in August 2000, the Rustlers brand has experienced huge growth and is now listed with all major retail grocery multiples in the UK and with a large percentage of the convenience retailing sector.
