Slicing specialist Weber launched its latest innovation onto the US market at the Process Expo in Chicago recently.

The company claimed its new Bacon Slicer 702 offers processors the chance to increase slicing throughput, yields and quality in one machine.

Featuring a trimmer, the machine automatically trims bellies to size allowing the processor to create a consistent, high quality product, coupled with technology which controls the distance between the blade and orifice, allowing regularly portioned slices from 0.5 to 50mm at speeds up to 1500rpm, and accurate weight control.

The compact slicer, which only needs 38 sq. ft of floor space, can also be combined with Weber robotics and all major packaging equipment, the company added.
