Osprey Deep Clean introduced its new cleaning and sanitising system for conveyor modular belts, which uses steam technology.
The CleanBox system allows cleaning and sanitising of both sides of the belt ‘in situ’, without the need to take off the belt, with a vacuum used to remove all residue. Gordon McCready, sales manager, told GlobalMeatNews, that companies are keen to use less water for environmental reasons.
Its steam technology contains no chemicals, and contains 3-5% moisture, making it very water-efficient. "The CleanBox sits under the belt, and uses a steam and vacuum technique, leaving the belt clean, pathogen-free and dry," he explained.
