Tomra sees success for fat analyser
Tomra Sorting Solutions said that QVision 500 had seen new and repeat orders from Europe and North America in 2014, including from leading meat processor Vion which purchased its first in-line analyser for its facility in Germany.
The company will be showcasing its latest QVision 500 at the International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) in Atlanta this week.
Thorsten Niermeyer, business unit manager process analytics at Tomra Sorting Solutions, said: "We have made great efforts to design the system to meet the food industry’s demanding requirements and address the needs of our customers.
"It is extremely hygienic, with no horizontal surfaces where water droplets can remain and the system is never in contact with the meat. The design is open, so all surfaces can be visually inspected and sanitised, using high-pressure water.
"The QVision is able to analyse 30 tons of meat per hour, making it an ideal choice for high-volume processors. This, along with the consistent end-product quality and savings generated through reduced lean give-away, helps customers drive up their profits.
"Visitors to our booth at IPPE will be able to see the machine in action and ask questions directly to the Tomra team about how it will benefit their processes."
