Provisur Technologies is to open a state-of-the-art Ingenuity Centre in Illinois, dedicated to the "ever-evolving demands of the industry".

The new site allows processors to develop new products, refine existing products and test processes ranging from separating and grinding, forming, coating and cooking to slicing, autoloading and freezing.

Staffed by the Provisur team, the 20,000sq ft site will also offer training courses and seminars for customers.

The company said in a statement; "As they make decisions about investing in new systems, for example, visitors can view and test machines or complete systems in a production-like environment and take part in training programs covering topics like operations, maintenance and hygiene. Seminars on product development and machine operations are also offered on-site."

"As its name suggests, the Provisur Ingenuity Centre offers a place for innovation with the ultimate objective to create value for our customers and in turn, their customers," said Mel Cohen, chief executive officer and president of Provisur Technologies. "We want to help our industry develop sustainable technologies to run efficient operations and create better products at a lower cost."
