Russian agriculture holding Miratorg has changed all corporate branding to reflect its “evolutionary development as a leader in the Russian meat market”.

The business, which claims to be Russia’s top red meat producer, has designed a bright red logo with white text that will appear on all factories, uniforms, vehicles, point-of-sale material and corporate communications.

Its new branding is intended to symbolise that Miratorg is Russia’s leading meat company and the company felt its claimed superiority needed to be reflected not just in sales and robust margins, but visually too.

Miratorg is a high-tech, modern, fast-growing company operating on the market, where brand recognition and trust is a key competitive advantage,” said a company spokesperson.

We are leaders of the meat industry in Russia and should be the first not only in production and sales, but also in all other directions. That is why we updated the logo and brand look. Our style has become more strict, modern, more serious, but at the same time bright.”

Global meat producer

The business expects all of its corporate branding to be changed within the next six months and the move comes as it plots a larger strategic transformation: to become a global meat player.

Founded in 1995 as an importer, Miratorg has evolved into a self-sufficient meat producer, manufacturing hundreds of products for retail and foodservice clients in Russia. The business wants to grow international trade and believes exports could generate up to $500m a year – if China can be unlocked.

This ambition is helped by the Russian government, which also wants the country to reduce meat imports to allow domestic companies to meet national demand and supply other countries as well.
