Giant Food, based in Landover, Maryland, has launched a new ‘No Antibiotics Ever’ private brand of pork products.

The animals used to make the meal solutions are raised on zero antibiotics and hormones, and are 100% vegetarian-fed.

Giant Food is excited to continue developing products that taste great, are in step with consumer trends and offer customers our own line of Giant private brand ‘No Antibiotics Ever’ pork selections,” explained Gordon Reid, president of Giant Food.

With this addition, we further promote our commitment to providing customers with the highest-quality fresh pork products that allow them to eat while saving money.”

The range is made up of bone-in chops, boneless chops and boneless sirloin chops. Consumers should look out for the Giant Food logo and the ‘No Antibiotics Ever’ label on packaging.

This is the latest development in Giant Food’s strategy to introducing high-welfare products into the market. Last Thanksgiving, it launched a Nature’s Promise turkey, free of growth hormones and antibiotics. The turkey will be available again for Thanksgiving (Thursday, 23 November) this year.
