Food processing equipment manufacturer K+G Wetter will present its improved bowl cutters range, as well as grinder solutions to improve meat processing efficiency at Anuga Foodtec from 2-23 March in Cologne, which will feature more than 1,700 exhibitors from 50 countries.

The company’s bowl cutters range now feature touchscreen technology. An optimised, self-explanatory menu navigation makes operating the machine user-friendly and, K+G Wetter said it has also made program controls via the panel easier. Frequently used commands, such as opening and closing the knife cover or adjusting the speeds, can be triggered quickly by using prominently placed illuminated ring keys on the control. Individual commands can also be controlled directly via the touchscreen – for example, different knife speeds, which are clearly visible on the screen and can be selected directly.

In addition, K+G Wetter’s ‘Cutcontrol’ and ‘Cutvision’ software, which can be easily controlled via the touchscreen, ensure maximum quality and safety in production, said the firm. ‘Cutcontrol’ is an automatic recipe control system that guides the user step by step through the production process for the recipe in question. Once set up and saved, the recipe can be retrieved time and again. This also ensures very short training times for employees on the machine, saving time and money. Meanwhile, K+G’s ‘Cutvision’ software reliably records all the production steps, with measurable variables, such as time or temperature curves, for example, able to be read at any time, whether during production or months later.

Maximum yield without loss

K+G Wetter will also be displaying its grinder solutions to improve meat processing efficiency. Its MW U 200 mixer grinder has a special design principle, with the mixer part and grinder part completely. So the entire mix first achieves uniform quality in a single process before passing through two large-sized openings into the grinder part of the machine. The mixing hopper is emptied quickly, with no residue left in the mixer, said the firm, so that all of the material can be processed, ensuring maximum yield without product loss.

The U 200 mixer grinder can be equipped with extras, such as a pneumatic sorting device, allowing hard components to be moved to the side, making them much faster and easier to control. In addition, the sorting device can be removed or reinstalled within a few seconds via a practical plug-in connection, without the aid of tools. The U 200 mixer grinder can also be equipped with automatic water metering, CO2 or LN2 injection.
