International meat supplier Jan Zandbergen has expanded its grain-fed beef offering with the new Evita’s Choice range.

Sourced from Argentina, the high-quality beef range comes from Hereford and Angus cattle crossed with Brahman to create ‘Braford’ and ‘Brangus’. The resulting cross-breeds have characteristics of both parents, enabling them to thrive in various climates, be resistant to diseases and produce quality beef.

The cattle live on the vast pampas in Argentina and, in the final stage, they go to feedlots where, for a period of at least 100 days, they receive a special diet with grain as the main ingredient.

Evita's Choice is designed to complement the existing beef assortment of Jan Zandbergen. The company has already brought successful concepts of grain-fed beef from Australia, Uruguay and the US to the European market.

With this expansion, Jan Zandbergen hopes to strengthen its position as the one-stop shop where both foodservice and retail buyers can go for a full range of grain-fed beef.
