US-based packaged foods firm Pre Brands has revealed that its full line of grass-fed and finished beef has been non-GMO verified.

Pre Brands’ new non-GMO lines, which include mince and steaks, will feature the butterfly seal across all of its packaging from January 2019.

The move was prompted to mark the beginning of non-GMO month for October, as well as its commitment to providing consumers the highest quality of foods.

According to the brand, all of its Pre beef lines are sourced from nutrient-rich pastures and raised with no added antibiotics or hormones.

Pre Brands chief operating officer Patricia Willmot believes the non-GMO verification means consumers can feel more confident about their products.

Non-GMO Project Verification means consumers can feel 100% confident that Pre beef never encountered genetically modified feed or GMOs anywhere along the process,” said Willmot.

It's a third-party certification of a quality our products have always had, alongside other rigorous specifications that result in the most consistent, best-tasting, highest-quality beef in the world.”

Pre Brands has become the latest US-based company to receive non-GMO certification, with plant-based business Beyond Meat receiving verification for across all of its lines in July.
