The European Plant Based Foods Association (ENSA) director Vinciane Patelou will speak at GlobalMeatNews’ Plant-based Protein Conference in June this year.

Speaking during the ‘State of the sector’ theme, Patelou will be offering the organisation’s perspective on the European plant-based protein market, as well as discussing regulatory issues associated with the products.

Patelou, who is based in Brussels, Belgium, has over 10 years’ experience in the food sector, where she advises food companies and associations about EU food policies.

The ENSA director joins Good Food Institute’s director of science of technology David Welch, Finnebrogue’s communications director Jago Pearson, The Meatless Farm Co’s founder Morten Toft Bech and The Grocer magazine’s fresh foods editor Kevin White.

ENSA represents internationally operated European companies who produce alternatives to meat and raises awareness about the role of plant-based diets, as well as moving towards a more sustainable food production and consumption pattern. Its members range from large corporations to small, family-owned businesses with a combined annual turnover of around €1bn.

Held on 26 June 2019, the Plant-based Protein Conference will be held at the Marriott hotel in Amsterdam, Holland and invites manufacturers, brands and retailers from across the globe to be part of the exciting debate.

The full-day conference will explore all areas of the plant-based protein sector, including retail opportunities, what the future might hold for the market, as well as why some traditional meat processors are slowly moving into the plant-based sector.

Since the conference launched at the beginning of February, we have seen a huge surge of interest from across the globe, so tickets are expected to sell out!

Early bird rates are still available for €475 plus VAT until 29 March. This will then increase to €590 plus VAT.

Book your tickets today on the plantproteinconference.com website. What are you waiting for?
