Rebrand for major US distributor
US meat distributor Poultry Products Northeast has rebranded to Prime Source Foods.

The business began with a focus on poultry processing and then evolved to distribute a variety of poultry, beef, pork, seafood, ethnic specialties and produce. Its new name, which comes following a recent $30 million investment from a new ownership group, is designed to reflect the product variety growth. The company currently has more than 3,000 customers across New England and upstate New York.

As well as the rebranding, Prime Source Foods, also broke ground on its new 105,000 ft2 food distribution facility Wednesday in Londonderry, New Hampshire. The new facility will feature 40,000 ft2 of warehouse space, the bulk of which will be refrigerated or frozen, an 18,000 ft2 refrigerated dock, 8,000 ft2 of processing space and a 3,000 ft2 test kitchen and presentation room. The new facility is scheduled to open February 2020.

“This is an historic day for our company and its future,” said Bill Conrad, CEO and president of Prime Source Foods. So many people have worked hard for over 60 years to make it what it is today, and now we are so thrilled to begin our next chapter, with a new name, and grow with the Londonderry community.”
