With the meat industry under constant scrutiny from lobby groups and the media, the debate has become in danger of becoming distorted and skewed with those shouting loudest seemingly having the most impact.

The upcoming GlobalMeatNews webinar, Futureproof: Sustainability in the International Meat Industry, looks to redress the balance in this debate and give all aspects of the meat supply chain the opportunity to have their say on what they’re doing to improve sustainability in the sector as well as give the public the opportunity to ask questions.

Taking place on 3 March at 3pm (UK time), the webinar will hear from chief executive of the British Meat Processors Association Nick Allen, chief sustainability officer at Swedish food service chain Max Burgers Kaj Torok and the executive director of the Global Roundtable for Sustainable Beef Ruaraidh Petre. The webinar will be hosted by the editor of GlobalMeatNews Aidan Fortune.

The speakers will be discussing the work being done in the meat industry as well as address some misconceptions that are currently making headlines and answer questions from listeners.
