McDonald’s will offer members of the public a peek inside its supply chain to see how its meals are made, as a response to curiosity about traceability by its consumers.

The company is currently looking for Quality Scouts, who will get to investigate the supply chain from farm to fork, meeting farmers and interviewing food suppliers and McDonald’s employees.

The move has been made in a bid to make the company’s brand and food more transparent, due to an increased interest shown by the public.

Looking forward to the project, vice-president of the supply chain Warren Anderson said: “Every day, people ask us questions about our food and our ingredients, so we’re inviting members of the public to see for themselves what’s in some of our most popular products and follow the journey from farm to restaurant.”
