The event is the largest of its kind in the meat industry and also attracted a high level of international visitors, with 61% of those coming from outside Germany.
Exhibitors and visitors alike gave the show top ratings for quality and the positive overall rating for the show rose from 81% to 86%, while visitors gave the show this year a positive rating of 97%.
Of the show, Meat Processing Machines Association of the Federation of German Machine and Plant Manufacturers (VDMA) chairman Berthold Gassmann said: “As in the past, this year’s IFFA demonstrated impressively that it is the world’s leading event for the meat-processing sector.
"The level of international participation has risen again, the number of visitors is up and, in particular, the visitor standard was extremely high. Top decision-makers from companies of all sizes from Germany and the whole world were there. And this shows that, thanks to its unequivocal focus on meat, IFFA is held in high regard by all experts.”
