The previous head of the UK branch of the World Wildlife Fund’s (WWF) One Planet Food Programme has revealed his move to a non-profit organisation.
As the head of food at Forum for the Future, Mark Driscoll will be working alongside business and government partners. Driscoll said: “I look forward to working with Forum for the Future on pioneering projects that provide long-term benefits for everyone across the food supply chain.”
Forum’s chief executive Peter Madden said: “I’m really excited that someone of Mark’s calibre and background has decided to join us. Forum has already done a great job bringing together key players across the food sector to create change. Mark will add an amazing depth of experience – in both food and in sustainability – and that’s going to really help us make even more change happen.”
Driscoll added that he would be working to transform the food system, which he claimed continued to undermine the natural environment. He added that he would also be addressing the needs of the poorest, which he said was key.
