Meat, sausage, game and poultry are at the heart of Anuga Meat, one of the sectors at Cologne-based global food fair Anuga. Around 400 companies have already registered for this section of the event alone, underlining the significance of Anuga 2003.
Anuga Meat will be divided into the product groups of meat, sausage and poultry, each located in a separate hall. The organisers believe that exhibitors will appreciate the division of Anuga Meat into these three subsegments.
Available space is almost completely booked. The registered companies include many suppliers who are returning to Cologne after several years' absence from Anuga. Companies from a total of 36 countries are participating.
Firms already registered for Anuga Meat include, from the poultry segment, Astenhof, Bölts, Doux, Friki, Gastronomme, Heidemark, LDC, Perdigao and Wiesenhof. From the meat segment, firms include Cremonini, Danish Crown, Dumeco, Tönnies and Van Drie Group.
And finally, from the sausages segment, companies already registered include Böklunder, Houdek, Meica, Reinert, Remagen, Rovagnati, Tulip and Wiesbauer.
In addition to Moksel, the list of companies returning to exhibit once again at Anuga - after absence - includes Oldenburger and Radeberger, importers such as Diercks & Hennigs, slaughterers such as Roodsari and Gebrüder Förster, poultry suppliers such as Theo Thiemann and döner kebab producers such as Birtat, Akser and Kapadokya. Tönnies is exhibiting at Anuga for the first time.
The product groups of meat, sausage, game and poultry are traditionally strongly represented at Anuga. At the last Anuga, the product area occupied 40,000 m² of space. More than 43,000 of the 164,440 trade visitors to Anuga - 26.6 per cent - visited these product groups.
With around 6,000 suppliers from about 100 different countries, Anuga is the largest and one of the most important global food trade fairs. The event takes place over five days from 11 October to 15 October 2003.
