Minnesota meat firm J&B Group is recalling around 2,645lb of beef sirloin products, due to the undeclared presence of milk, the US Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has announced.

The company discovered the problem during a routine label review, but has received no reports of allergic reactions linked to the consumption of the affected products. According to the FSIS, the wrong ingredient statement had been entered into the company’s labelling system.

The affected products were manufactured between 1 January 2011 and 7 September 2011, and were sold for institutional use in Montana, North Dakota and Texas.
